The Rice Episode

The past few days have been characterised by an acute unwillingness to blog even though i have the capabilities to blog and content to blog about.

But i've just got to blog about this...

Dried white rice stuck to the pot is a jaw-dropping sight to behold.

Yea it really looked pretty cool. It wasn't in the usual rice shape anymore, it looked kind of semi-transparent and was kind of flat. It filled the WHOLE base of the pot so it seemed as if there was snow or something. Really beautiful...

But of course, jaw-dropping as another meaning too.

As i looked at the pot, i truly jaw-dropped, thinking "my goodness... how am i supposed to clear this off???!!!"

Well... my hard work paid off and i got the rice out after approximately 15min of intense scrubbing. Used all sorts of weird ways to get the rice off, including the mobolization of the wire-ish thingy which i was instructed to use if i wanted to get the oil stains off. (i figured out the rice, for me, was a even more lethal enemy than the digusting and repelling dried oil stains, and so it warranted the use of the ultimate wire-ish thingie, which did help remove part of the unfriendly unbudging ricey.)

Oh by the way, today marks the third consecutive time my sis and i have tried to cook the rice properly but to no avail. Thank God the rice was still edible after a bit a tweeking here and there. (oh i left the cooker at a high heat for a prolonged period of time, and when i saw the cooker when i finally recalled i was cooking the rice, it looked as if the rice had exploded because there seemed to be some ricey stains on the cover of the cooker... ...)

I will cook some rice properly tomorrow with the correct method.

In the meantime, it's some more GP and day-dreaming about what i should eat for lunch... tim sum anyone?
